What are Botox Injections?
Botox utilizes a clean strain of botulinum toxin type A. It functions to temporarily disengage the muscles that enable those contractions, allowing the overlying skin to smooth itself on its own. Commonly called dynamic wrinkles and lines, these skin issues occur due to continuous facial movements, such as smiling, squinting, and frowning. As men and women age, these lines eventually stay put and can make them seem worn down.
What can I expect from Botox Injections?
Since Botox is performed during a quick, in-office procedure, your injections can typically be administered in the same visit. The formulation will be placed into the problem areas of your brow or upper face using a fine needle. Botox takes about 5 – 10 minutes to carry out, and most people experience only mild discomfort.
